Dr. Jean’s heart counseling approach is that she uses the Bible to address the issues in the lives of individuals, couples, and families.
The Bible teaches that our thoughts, motives, attitudes, words, and actions flow from the sinful selfishness of our hearts. The counseling addresses the heart as the source of these human actions and reactions using the wisdom and approaches revealed in the Bible. Biblical counseling is practical and effective. It does not view people as simply spiritual beings with spiritual problems. Instead as a biblical counselor, Dr. Jean sees the individual as a physical, emotional, cognitive, and relational being. One of her focuses of biblical heart counseling is to help others develop a biblical worldview of their life and recognize the core truth that guides right thinking and actions. The goal of heart counseling is transformation and spiritual maturity. Heart change brings about life change! True change is the result of the Holy Spirit working in one’s heart.
Dr. Jean has processed issues in her own heart, as a result, she is effective in helping people identify their heart problems which leads to healing and deliverance. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the foundation for the work of heart counseling. The goal Dr. Jean reaches through biblical heart counseling is spiritual, relational, and personal maturity as evidenced in desires, thoughts, motives, actions, and emotions that increasingly reflect Jesus (Ephesians 4:17-5:2). Such personal change must be centered on the person of Christ!
Heart Counseling is focused most largely on prayer. Dr. Jean knows how to hear from God and see vision for those she counsels. She also has the ability to interpret dreams which shows what the heart needs to deal with. Dr. Jean understands how to minister out of the anointing of the Holy Spirit. She believes that both genuine change of heart and transformation of lifestyle depend upon the ministry of the Holy Spirit (John 14:15-16:16; 2 Corinthians 3:17-18).

I do not take any insurance because as you can imagine that is a rather complicated endeavor these days. Because of being a small ministry, passionate about serving, and keeping my expenses very low, I am able to provide a Sliding Scale Fee Schedule that allows me to work with my clients to ensure the fee is fair and reasonable for us both.
Sliding Fee
Sessions are based on a 1 HOUR SESSION, NOT 50 MINUTES!! Sometimes sessions may require extra time depending on the situation we are discussing. At the initial consultation we will discuss what the counseling fee will be for subsequent sessions and how that fits into your budget. A benefit of a sliding fee scale is you and I can be led by the Holy Spirit and not under a specific timeline for treatment.
